Greetings! My name is Yasmin Pakdel. I received a B.Sc. in Psychology from the Islamic Azad University of Tehran Central Branch in 2022. I have a broad interest in questions relating to the human mind and behavior and am passionate about performing practical and intriguing research on social psychology. I am particularly interested in intimate relationships and attachment theory. In addition to my primary research interests, I seek research on mental health, human sexuality, and gender studies.
During my Bachelor’s course, under the supervision of Dr. Rita Liaghat, I studied the relationship between resilience and mental health during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I am currently working on a paper about the mediating role of impulsivity and the moderating role of gender between fear of missing out and problematic smartphone use among Iranian university students.
Beyond my research and studies, I am committed to working as a facilitator and a group therapy/counselling assistant, to raise awareness on critical sociopsychological issues and help people tackle the problems they face in life.
